About Me
Hi, I’m William Haase, a photographer born and raised in the Bay Area, California, now based in the East Bay. While much of my work thrives on motion, grit, and high-adrenaline energy, my creative roots run even deeper into the world of engines, fabrication, and automotive culture.
I’ve been working on cars since I was 12, rebuilding my first motor, a 1979 big block 460 pulled from a Camper Special F350, by the time I was 18. Automotive work has always been a passion, and I’ve grown up surrounded by the Bay Area car scene, where every build was a guarded trade secret to avoid getting caught and state-reffed. Today, my current project is a K24-swapped 1988 Honda CRX aiming for the 600hp range, a perfect blend of precision, creativity, and controlled chaos that mirrors the energy I bring to photography.
I’ve been involved in major automotive events such as Monterey Car Week, SEMA, The Gambler 500, The Gumball 5000, and the Baja 600, experiences that strengthened my eye for mechanical detail, motion, and storytelling. Before photography became my main path, I was inspired by the raw, gritty aesthetic of Thrasher, DC, and Vans, shooting VHS videos and stills of local skaters and surfers. That same edge, authenticity, and DIY spirit still define my work today.
Fluent in English and learning German, I bring a dynamic, international perspective to every project. Whether I’m under a car, at a racetrack, or documenting fast-moving action in unpredictable environments, I aim to freeze moments of pure adrenaline, the kind you can almost hear, smell, and feel. Let me take your passion and turn it into something unforgettable.
